Getting to Know the Pet Corrector Concoction

Many people can attest that a good brand of pet corrector spray can be truly effective. You may then wonder why this is the case. Why is a simple bottle of spray able to discipline a misbehaving pet? What does it do exactly? What is it made of?

There is no question that dog muzzles are made of different materials, such as leather or cloth. They physically clamp together the mouth of your pet canines. It is also easier to see just how dog chains or dog leashes and leads hold your pet in place with materials such as steel.

So what is a pet corrector spray made of? The complicated part here is that there are various formulations available out there. This is the case because there are different sprays for various types of misbehavior. There are those that basically emit a hissing sound that makes pets stand at attention. There are also those that discourage all sorts of unwanted behaviors, such as eating their own poop, barking too loudly or incessantly, and licking their own wounds. A corrector spray that prevents wound-licking, for example, simply needs an ingredient that is bitter to dogs.

Usually though, when you talk about pet corrector sprays, you refer to those that emit a hissing sound. Such a spray supposedly prevents dogs from jumping or barking too much, or even from stealing. The sound alerts dogs because it mimics the sound that is created by either snakes or insects. Dogs sense some sort of danger and stand at attention. So what if your dog is spoiled and is not scared of you. The spray will make it stop doing unwanted stuff.

Most ads claim that their corrector spray is made of natural ingredients. Nothing much is disclosed. Pretty secretive, huh? Well, it looks as if the spray can itself is very much a part of the hissing sound design.
