Smoothing Out the Way with Puppy Training

Toilet-training can be a difficult process. It takes a lot of patience and know-how on your part. You need patience because your puppy may not immediately take to pooping and peeing at the subscribed place and time. Know-how, on the other hand, refers to your keen observation on your pet’s personality and behavior patterns.
In toilet-training, you may want to make use of puppy training pads to make the process a little bit easier. Of course, you also have to find a way to get your pet to wear the pad in the first place.

You must place the pad on a spot away from its bed. Your dog does not really want to eliminate its waste near the place it rests and sleeps. So, you have to establish a spot across it, for example.

Your pet would benefit from habit. So, you need to establish not only the spot where it wears its puppy training pads to poop or pee but also its meal schedule. If your pet regularly eats at the same times every day then it will most likely eliminate its waste at about the same time every day, as well.

You must also observe your pet’s behavior. If it looks like it is ready to go then you may want to give the command. For example, you can say “go potty”. Once it gets used to the command, it will look for its pad and will do what it is supposed to do. Make sure that you reward your pet with its good behavior.

If you want your pet to enjoy using puppy training pads, it would be best to choose a comfortable fit from well-established brands, such as Lambert Kay and Simple Solution. The training process may take several repetitions but with the training pads, it could go a lot more neatly and smoothly.
